FEC will not disconnect a member until the cooperative ascertains that no life threatening condition exists in the member's household, or would exist, because of disconnection during severe weather conditions. Severe weather is defined as:
(1.) A day when the previous day's highest temperature did not exceed 32 degrees F, and the temperature is predicted to remain below 32 degrees F for the next 24 hours according to the nearest National Weather Service reports, or
(2.) In areas where an excessive heat alert is in effect as determined by the National Weather Service and reported by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
